A Well Stocked Bar Cart

On Saturday my dad came over to watch the Michigan/Notre Dame game and was admiring my newly revamped dry bar. Now, as much as I like to imagine myself as the perfectly prepared hostess, able to whip up a Manhattan at a moments notice, you can tell my bar lacks some of the necessary items for a well-stocked bar.  We got to chatting on what it is that makes the perfectly stocked bar for the home, and this is what we came up with.

Clear Liquors: Silver Rum, Vodka, Gin
Brown Liquors: Scotch, Whiskey, Bourbon
Liqueur and Mixers: Dry Vermouth, Sweet Vermouth, Liqueurs such as Grand Marnier and Chambord, Bitters and lime juice.
Garnishes: Maraschino Cherries and Queen Olives

Another necessary item for a well-stock bar is a few bottles of red and white wine and appropriate stemware.  I was recently sent these Fusion Classic red wine glasses from Wine Enthusiast.  I’m a red wine gal myself, so these glasses are perfect for me because their shape is designed to enhance a red wine.  I also love them because they are made with the world’s most break-resistance glass- dear baby Lord Jesus, thank you. I can’t tell you how many wine glasses I’ve broken in my lifetime (answer: a lot).  Wine Enthusiast will replace my glasses if I ever break them, even if it’s been 10 years since I purchased them. This is a clumsy, wine-loving girl’s savior.

Disclaimer: Wine Enthusiast sent me these glasses in exchange for my review but all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
