Our Succulent Invitations – Wedding Wednesday

succulent invitation under $120 - But First, Coffee Wedding

Happy Wednesday, friends. Time for a little Wedding Wednesday fun! I sent out wedding invitations last week so I’m excited to get to share them with you all, now! We went for succulent invitations, to tie in our spring-time wedding and the colors of our wedding. Here’s a look at our wedding “mood board” if you want a gander at our inspiration.

You might remember that when we did our save the dates we went DIY on it and did them all for under $75 – well we took the same approach here.  I got all 50 of the wedding invites printed, as well as all extra decorations, envelopes, etc, for under $120!

Just like with the save the dates, I designed these invites myself. I’m clearly no graphic designer, but I kept it simple. We also designed a RSVP card to go with it.

Once we were happy with the design, we had them all printed on matte card stock paper at Staples. They are 5×7, so 2 invitations fit on a sheet, and four RSVP cards fit on a sheet. I paid extra to have them cut. After printing and cutting, the entire order cost me only $50.

I got these little “best day ever” tags from Etsy shop I Do Tags for $20 and a roll of ribbon for $4 at Michael’s.

The envelopes came from envelopes.com (original name, right?), and I paid less than $11 for them all. Using gold Sharpies ($5), I hand addressed each one. Add in postage as we were done!

One thing that saved us a little money (and a lot of hassle!) was doing our RSVP online. As you can see our RSVP cards all have unique links on them.  I used anrsvp.com which allows you to (FOR FREE) upload your invitation list and group people by party.  You create your own landing page that allows people to RSVP, leave a comment, and you can even get additional information from them with extra question options.  You get an email notification when someone RSVPs and all your invites are easily stored and organized right on the website. No little mini cards to worry about or extra spreadsheets to hassle with.  While “springtime’ is definitely a theme for my wedding, really the main theme of the wedding is hassle-free.
