Travel | NYC for the Weddington Way Pop-up Shop

This weekend I went into NYC with some of my bridesmaids to stop by the Weddington Way pop-up shop and use it as an excuse to be in the city.

After arriving in the city we took the train down to Soho. We started with Brunch, being basic and what have you.

First we stopped at Bô Cà Phé – Vietnamese restaurant with a French twist – for some pre-brunch cocktails.  Bô Cà Phé has tons a fresh fruit juices and I had the lychee mimosa with lychee juice, and the girls all tried different cocktails including their traditional mimosa and the Belle Piscine with rosé and pink grape fruit.

One door down was Jack’s Wife Freda, a bistro with American-Mediterranean food at long tables crammed into a tiny room giving it a “family style” feel. We had to wait over an hour among a sprawl of locals, which is always a good sign. The food was amazing and we all gorged  ourselves on the Madame Freda, the Green Shakshuka, and toast with Grilled Haloumi. If you’re into beautiful food, you should definitely check out their food porn, swoon-worthy, instagram.

Full, and satisfied, we headed down to Mercer Street where Weddington Way was having their pop up shop.  Weddington Way is a virtual bridesmaid dress showroom with endless options to help you find your perfect bridesmaid dresses.  They are having a series of pop-up shops around the U.S., and NYC was first – lucky for us!

We were greeted by an adorable little shop with cupcakes, floral robes, and snazzy couches.

The girls are all wearing different dresses, so they were able to all grab ones they liked in their colors. However, everyone swooned over this one soft, cotton maxi from Dove and Dahlia and had to try it on just because!

I won’t giveaway everyone’s dress picks just yet, but I will say we were successful with Weddington Way and every girl now has a dress! If you’re looking for a great variety of bridesmaid dresses DEFINITELY check them out!

We celebrated by taking a stroll to Little Italy for espresso amaretto and snacks (mainly bread and cheese), before heading to Brooklyn for the night.

In Brooklyn we stumbled across a little spot I just HAVE to tell you about called Tabaré, just two blocks down from Bedford Ave. It was adorable, we all couldn’t stop fussing over how cute it was decorated. The bathroom was lit with all candles you guys! We sidled up to their tiny, 6 stool bar and ordered from their Latin American inspired cocktail menu. We were pleasantly surprised to find out it was Happy Hour (on a Saturday, praise the Lord!) and so, we ordered another round.

The gals and I had such a blast in NYC together doing bridesmaid-y things. This whole being a bride thing can be pretty fun sometimes!
