If you have the power to make someone happy, do it | DIY Chocolate Wrappers

Want to know the best kinds of surprises?

The little, unexpected ones that happen on any old regular day.

I try (and I use try purposefully because it’s not always easy and I don’t always succeed) to spread kindness where I go.  This includes small, simple things like engaging the grocery cashier in pleasant small talk, smiling and exchanging hello’s to people I don’t know on the sidewalk, holding doors for a stranger, and so on.

I always think about that quote, If you have the power to make someone happy, do it. The world needs more of that.

It’s such a simple idea, but we can get caught up so easily in the busyness of life that the simple day to day niceties can get forgotten.  So, with that thought in mind, I have some inspiration for you to bring someone some happiness and it begins with a C and ends in a E.

And no, it’s not coffee (although that’d be a suitable substitution.)

It’s chocolate.

Specifically these new Hello chocolates from Lindt that come in four delicious flavors including Cookies and Cream, Caramel Brownie, Strawberry Cheesecake and Crunchy Nougat.  #nomnomnom am I right?

Lindt’s newest HELLO chocolate collection is the hip chocolate flavors that are all about inspiring social connections and conversations.  Their adorable packaging just screams, “give me to someone to brighten their day!”

And so, that’s just what I decided to do with them.

I wrapped these up and gave them a little extra pizazz with ribbon and a painter’s pen depending on the recipient: “Hello handsome,” for Michael of course, “Shit could be worse,” for a friend who was having a bad week, and “get it girl” which I’m saving for a rainy day when someone needs a little extra encouragement.
It’s amazing what something as simple and easy a little bar of chocolate can do, but it really can brighten someone’s day. The world needs more small acts of kindness, little small actions that help to make people happier.  Put good vibes into the world and you’ll get good vibes back.
Like I said, these chocolate bars from Lindt are all about sparking connections and to go with that, they are giving away 5 Weeks of Prizes that will help you connect with someone you love, or someone new (things like dinner and a movie, a shopping spree with girlfriends or a pampered night in! Check it all out and enter the Lindt Sweepstakes here.

Additionally, Lindt is partnering with Ashley Tisdale to co-produce “It Started with HELLO,” YouTube mini shows. New episodes will debut weekly through October 9, 2014 and it is a fun, new romantic comedy digital series capturing couples as they make their first connections and you get to choose the endings!
