Mornings in Monterey

Hi there, friends.  I want to share my first vacation post with you, all about a morning in Monterey, CA and this adorable distressed sweater, but first…coffee.

Upon a local’s suggestions we found our way to First Awakenings in Monterey, CA.  Slightly hard to find at first glance but beyond worth it once you do.  I indulged in THE.BEST Eggs Benedict I’ve had in a very long time, smothered in mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes and an award-winning hollandaise.  If you appreciate a good breakfast, you’ll appreciate this favorite spot of locals and tourists alike.

Plus, the serve you coffee in a handy thermos so you can refill as often and as much as you like.  My kinda joint.

After breakfast we strolled down towards the famous Monterey Aquarium which we didn’t have time to visit but we heard from countless sources that it’s “the best Aquarium in America.”  We did, however, take a few minutes to enjoy the amazing views of the harbor.  Can we talk about #nofilter ? Just good old fashion, beautiful views.

Alright, let’s talk fashion for a minute.

I’m wearing the  Destroyed Lobster Semi-Sheer Sweater from Oasap with a comfy pair of jeans from Abercrombie & Fitch.  This relaxed outfit was the perfect thing for sight-seeing about Monterey and, later, driving north towards Napa Valley.

As I mentioned in my last post, we’re currently soaking up some sun and sipping on some wines up in Napa and are off to San Fran today.  Then, this weekend, we’re ready to head back home.  And just like at the end of any good vacation, you don’t want it to end but are still slightly homesick for your own bed, your dogs, and to not have to live out of a suitcase.
Have you ever been to California?  Where and what was your favorite?Signature
