This past Saturday was my Bridal Shower and, as you can see below, my Maid of Honor and lovely Bridesmaids put on just about the cutest shower I could have ever envisioned, complete with a popcorn bar, a naked cake stuffed with fruit and flowers (my faaavvvv), and the cutest herb favors I’ve ever seen. The whole event was at Arrigoni Vineyard in Portland, CT which was the perfect Bridal Shower spot. We were even presented with lovely weather for the entire day (let’s hope this is a good omen for the BIG day!)
It’s funny because when I got engaged the LAST thing I wanted was a Bridal Shower, but I had a Maid of Honor who INSISTED on it, and so I agreed. And, now that it’s all said and done, I’d advise any Bride-to-be to highly consider one! It’s not about the presents and registry items that make it so great…it’s the fact that all the most important women in your life come together to surround you before you make a huge step in your life.
Just like I’ve been with a lot of this wedding, I was overwhelmed with love and kindness on my shower day. I couldn’t help but feel so thankful that all these women would put aside their Saturday afternoons and travel (beyond state borders for many) to celebrate with me #blessed
Oh, and this is what opening Bridal Shower gifts looks like after 3 glasses of wine, FYI…
