In case you haven’t heard…it is September and fall is literally looming around the corner – 10 more days, but who is counting? While I’m resisting all the fall treats, as I told you last week, it is starting to feel like fall in the air just a little. Sure, we still have mostly summer weather vibes, but the mornings are starting to have a chill crisp and today I saw trees with changing colors. While I hate to admit it, I know this means it’ll soon be time to pack away my cut-off jeans and little summer dresses. As much as I hate to see them go, I also adore fall trends and am ready to bring out my leather jackets, darker shades, and booties.

This outfit is the perfect transition outfit for those Connecticut days when it’s cooler in the morning and gets warmer in the afternoon. These pants are actually JEGGINGS (omg, yes, my comfort queen is so happy). I also think these booties might be my new favorite thing. They have the perfect heel height, and the chunky heel is crazy comfortable for all day wear – oh, and they are only $40!! I also all on board for the flannel shirt around the waist trend because not only do I think it looks good, but it’s totally practical for this time of year when I chill in the are and arise at any time and this way you can be prepared.
