UPPAbaby Vista Review

If you’ve landed on this post, you’re probably stroller shopping. I’m going to help answer the question: Is UPPAbaby VISTA worth the money? I’m breaking down the pros and cons to see if UPPAbaby vista is the right stroller for you.

Let’s start with disclosures. This stroller was bought 100% with my own money. I’m not working with UPPAbaby in any way. But, as always, whether gift products or not, all thoughts will always be all my own. Links in this post contain affiliate links.

OK, let’s dive into it.

Oh boy, the stroller. SO MANY CHOICES.

I feel like it’s the one thing we realllllly spend a lot of time deciding on. I think you have to think about a few things when it comes to a stroller.

1. How often do you plan to use it? Do you walk a lot? Do you go out and about a lot?
2. Where do you plan to be using it the most? Like, will you mostly be walking from home, or will you be putting it into your car to use elsewhere, or a decent mix of both?
3. What will you be using it for the most? Long walks, hikes, or runs? Travel? Shopping?
4. Do you want something that can grow with your family (for example, something that can transition to hold 2+ children)?

Personally, I walk ALL THE TIME – pretty much every day. So I wanted something that was high-quality and would hold up to being used a lot. I also use it from home the most and then maybe take it with me 1-2x a month. So, while I wanted something that can fold easily, I wasn’t hauling it around constantly, so it didn’t need to be overly small or lightweight. I also wanted something with decent storage since I knew I’d be using it to walk into town for errands, etc.

So the stroller we went for was the UPPAbaby Vista. I absolutely love it. It certainly isn’t a cheap stroller (the price is around $950), but as someone who knew I’d be using my stroller almost every day, I wanted to invest in a quality piece.

UPPAbaby Vista Quick Overview:

The UPPAbaby Vista is definitely more of a premium stroller. It’s uniquely designed to help cart up to three kids, so really built around a growing family

  • Rain shield and bug shield (for toddler seat)
  • Bassinet storage bag and bug shield
• Stroller weight: 27 lb.
• Supports children newborn to 50lbs.
• Fits the regular toddler seat, infant car seat, or the bassinet. It also easily expands to fit two infant car seats along with a PiggyBack (like a kickboard for older kids), when using adaptors.
• One-hand adjustable. The child can be in multiple-positions: forward- or parent-facing as well as reclined
• Telescoping handlebar
• 1-step fold for easy storage, stands upright when folded
• User-friendly wheel lock with visual lock indicator
• All-wheel suspension
• Machine washable fabric
• Adjustable, extended canopy with peek-a-boo window and UPF 50+ protection
• Extra-large bottom basket for storage (holds up to 30lbs!)

Here’s what I love about the UPPAbaby Vista:

• Versatile – It is compatible with the infant car seat, which we used all the time when Miles was little, but also has a bassinet insert and then a toddler seat for when they are a little bigger. It also can be forward-facing or rear-facing.
• Grows with us – Like I said, it can go from infant car seat to toddler seat. So, it’s seamlessly grown with us as Miles has grown. But in addition, it can hold two toddler seats or a toddler seat and infant car seat, so it’s ideal for a growing family. It also has a kickboard off the back so an older child can stand/ride on it.
• Good storage – I knew I wanted something that gave good storage for running errands. The bottom basket is huge and holds up to 30lbs.
• Smart add-ons – I just thought it was a well-thought-through design. It comes with a super simple rain cover and mosquito net cover, both of which we’ve used many times. You can get a clip-on snack tray, the kickboard, and a few other helpful add-ons.
• Smooth ride – It feels really smooth when you push it. It’s not clunky or too bumpy.
• Well-designed – Compared to some other strollers it just feels much more well-made. You can feel the difference when you use it. And, in the long run, it holds up really well to wear and tear. I’ve honestly beat the crap out of this stroller and it still works amazing.

Reasons it might not be the right stroller for you:

• You want something that folds super small. This stroller is definitely more clunky. It’s bigger than some other more compact, travel strollers. UPPAbaby does make smaller, more compact strollers.
• You’re not someone who is going to use a stroller a lot. If you don’t think you’ll be using the stroller a ton, it’s not really worth the investment for 1-2 days a month.
• You travel a ton. Again, it’s just not the ideal travel stroller IMO. It’s big and weighs about 27lbs. I’d look into one of their smaller more compact stroller.

Quick Recap: The UPPAbaby Vista is a more premium stroller but well-worth the price (in my opinion) if you’re someone who will use your stroller a lot. It features tons of versatility from multiple seat options to different facing configurations to the option for multiple kids. It is on the bulkier side, weighing 27lbs, so might not be the right choice if you want a compact, lightweight stroller.
